When to book flights for Vancouver

If you are planning a fun-filled holiday trip to Vancouver then May is the cheapest month to fly while December is the most expensive. The city has two peak seasons which are summers and mid-winters so plan your holidays accordingly. July through August and mid-December through January the hotels and airfares have steep rise in prices and thus need to book them in advance. September-October and May-June make up the shoulder season so plan holidays around them. September and October are often the best time to visit due to long warm days, less crowded and rare rains.   • One of the best and cost-effective ways to explore the city of Vancouver is clean and safe public transport. The Skytrain, a monorail system is the fastest way to get around. Buses are also regular and can get you to places where Skytrain does not go.
  • Tipping is common here and Canadians are generous. At restaurants 18% is considered to be acceptable but 20% is seen more appropriate.
  • If you are renting a car then it is easy to get around as there is lots of parking space. You can either park in parking garage, a lot, on the street for free or metered parking. Prices of parking vary as they depend on neighbourhoods.
